18^ Tour du Rutor Extrême
International skimo team competition in Italy01 April 2016
The 18th edition of Tour du Rutor Extrême is taking place from April 1 to 3 in Aosta Valley. This Long Distance Team ski mountaineering competition is the third stage of the international La Grande Course 2016 circuit. The race track, drawn by Marco Camandona with the Corrado Gex ski club, offers 7000 m height gain and 75 km of distance (40 km uphill, 32 km downhill, 5 km on technical ground) divided in three days. The race runs on Valgrisenche mountains, reaching the top of Tête du Rutor 3485 m and Château Blanc 3422 m. The meeting point is Arvier (Aosta). Technical briefing, meetings and the award ceremony are taking place in this village, where also a “Mountain Village Tour” will be held.
