Renowned film festival that brings the world's best outdoor movie of the year, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour arrives in Italy and, for its fifth edition to start on February 13, has at his side an all new partners: La Sportiva
The company twenties, founded by Narciso Delladio in a small village at the foot of the Dolomiti, the work in the outdoor industry for almost ninety years with the aim to provide the best products possible for those who live to 360 degrees mountain, from climbing, the Mountain Running up to ski tourism.

In Italy in 2013, the festival enjoys ever increasing success among outdoor enthusiasts and mountain activities, constantly increasing the number of stages and the cities involved. The 2017 Italian tour includes a calendar of 28 parties in 26 cities, among which Naples, Pisa and Verona, the festival will touch this year for the first time.
Each evening will include the screening of a series of exciting and engaging short and medium length films, where the big wild spaces and unspoiled nature are the background of companies to athletes and explorers, looking for new ways to experience the adventure and overcome their limits.
Among the films scheduled include Poumaka, which recounts the opening by Mike Libeckie Americans and Angie Payne of a new route on the eponymous tower located on the island of Ua Pou, French Polynesia. A remote tropical setting and very different from what we traditionally associate climbing, a street far from the "classic" and a unique adventure. Northbound, awarded Best Short Mountain Film, however, is the story of four urban skateboarder who decide to test himself in the unusual environment of the Arctic Circle, including frozen sand, abandoned wrecks and rarefied atmospheres, to create a magical game vaguely alienating. It is a hymn to life, finally, Doing it Scared, film that sees the British mountaineer Paul Pritchard return to the Totem Pole (a stone obelisk, a few meters from the coast of Tasmania), the scene of a serious accident in 1998 cost him a hemiparesis on the right side of the body. Accident, rather than an obstacle, is revealed for Paul to be "the greatest gift that life has ever done" and the beginning of a process of awareness and rebirth.
